Tyger River Confluence

Property Description
Tyger River Confluence

The Tyger River Confluence at Nesbitt Shoals is located at the convergence of the North and South Tyger Rivers in Spartanburg County. Its location, geology, and history make this a unique opportunity to conserve a part of Spartanburg County’s natural beauty while simultaneously offering outstanding recreational access for the public and the protection of local water quality.

The property consists of 4 parcels, the largest of which boasts 2 miles of river frontage on the North and South Tyger. The tract is covered in regenerating woodlands with a mature oak/hickory ridgetop overlooking early succession pine/cedar forests and bottomlands. Old roadbeds serve as excellent hiking trails to explore the property. River access is ample with a Class 4 rapid, nicknamed Sting ‘em Dog, accessible from the property.
