The Knollwood Inc. (Longlands Plantation)Tracts are managed for agriculture, forestry and wildlife, and are mostly within the Santee Focus Area along the Santee River. A diversity of habitats and forest areas occur on these lands, including mature loblolly and longleaf pine stands, mixed pine-hardwoods, wide areas of bottomland hardwoods, and planted agriculture fields. Healthy populations of all major game species in South Carolina, including white-tailed deer, wild turkey, waterfowl, and small game occur here. The bottomland riverine areas are very attractive to a variety of waterfowl species including wood duck, blue-winged and green-winged teal, mallard, gadwall, American widgeon, and black duck along with many other species. Public access along the Santee River.
