Santee River - Dawhoo and Wadmacon Creek Tract

The property along the Santee River, identified as a 100% priority under the South Atlantic Conservation Blueprint, will permanently protect a large block of forested floodplain, containing Dawhoo Lake and a portion of Wadmacon Creek, by adding the land to Wee Tee State Forest. The project expands permanently protected habitat in the Santee River watershed, adding 1,742 acres for public access and recreation.
