Saluda Dam Acres is located less than five miles from the City of Greenville. This property is utilized for timber and wildlife habitat for landowner.  The property consists primarily of oak & hickory mesic forest with a canopy that is forty to sixty years old, according to the landowner. A two-acre pond and three springs run through the property providing abundant and diverse aquatic and wildlife habitat. The Saluda Dam Acres location is within a mile from the Saluda River Focus Area, an area identified by Upstate Forever that highly contributes to water quality.  The Natural Resources Conservation Service recently compiled a forestry management plan including best management practices for the property. Goals of the plan include eliminating invasive plant species including kudzu, wisteria, and others.
