Located along I-95 and Highway 21 / Lowcountry Highway in Colleton County, the River Swamp easement property is the missing link within over 12,000 acres of privately protected land and 15 miles of protected Combahee River frontage between the confluence of the Little Salkehatchie and Salkehatchie Rivers and the ACE Basin National Wildlife Refuge Combahee Unit. Protecting the River Swamp property protects over two miles (11,000 feet) along the Combahee River and providing a forested buffer to the largest interstate in the area.
