Property Description

River Oaks Plantation is in Horry County on the Waccamaw River in proximity to protected lands. The plan for the property is to be owned by the SCDNR to steward the property's habitats and provide a beautiful access area for the public to enjoy the extensive lowlands of forested wetlands and the Waccamaw River. A network of streams allows species to move in between habitats increasing resiliency and access to climate refugia. The watershed flows through these intact natural riparian buffer and is filtered through a network of rivers and streams improving water quality.
