Property Description
Many of the tributaries that feed Lake Keowee are unprotects, contain rare and endangered species, are vulnerable to development, and pose a threat to the Lake Keowee watershed if they were developed in a damaging way. Boones Creek is also a critical habitat for the Oconee Bell, the signature species of the Jocassee and Keowee watersheds. The Boones Creek Oconee Bell Preserve has a population of thousands of flowering individuals and acts as a wildlife corridor for mammals, reptiles, and fishes.
