Still Branch Plantation is 52 acres of forested lands and cleared/open lands that lies within the more than 2 million acres of the South Lowcountry Focus Area featuring diverse ecosystems and a wealth of wildlife. This plantation contains a diversity of relatively natural habitats including forested wetlands, mixed upland forest, planted longleaf pine stands, and open fields, all of which can support a variety of floral and faunal species. These natural habitats are significant to wildlife habitat functions for migratory songbirds, ground-nesting birds, small and large game and non-game mammals, as well as for amphibians and reptiles.
