E. Hickson Tract

Property Description

The Edward Hickson Tract is 318 acres of land in Georgetown County Ehiksonbetween the towns of Georgetown and Hemingway. This land has considerable frontage on Pittman Creek. Aside from the natural beauty of the land, the tract has considerable historical value as well. During the Civil War, Francis Marion used the land to as a base for his horses and troops to use during his many famous raids on the enemies. There was a house on the land that was on The National Register of Historic Places until it was unfortunately destroyed by a fire in 1980.
