Sanders Farm Tract

Property Description

The Sanders Farm tract is situated in the Atlantic Coast Joint Venture SouthSanders Lowcountry Focus Area. The property is also located on the Salkahatchie River, a braided stream waterway flowing into the ACE Basin. The property possesses approximately 3500 feet on the Salkahatchie Rive and makes up a significant portion of the landscape in this ACJV focus area. In terms of "habitat type" much of the uplands on the property would be categorized as longleaf pine ridges and mixed pine hardwoods while a few of the upland areas are presently management for timber production in loblolly pine. Wetlands on the property are located mostly in the floodplain of the river and in the form of bottomland hardwoods. These areas provide excellent habitat for wood ducks and various other species of wildlife.
