Lee State Park (KDR/OSI)

Property Description
Lee State Park (KDR-OSI)

The project supports the expansion of Lee State Park in Bishopville with 137 acres of floodplain forest and upland pine situated along the state designated Scenic Lynches River. The property provides a scenic buffer from the river and the state park, forested wetland habitats, undeveloped open space for trails, and connectivity with other undeveloped forestland tracts around it. Lee State Park is an important resilient site for SCPRT, and this tract is identified as a priority for expanding on the currently protected, resilient core property with an ultimate objective to buffer the view from the river and create a new access opportunity from Bishopville to the river.
