Graham Family Tract

Property Description
Graham Family

In conjunction with Spartanburg Regional Health System and its Hospice House, which neighbors previously protected property, Spartanburg Area Conservancy created the Upper Chinquapin Greenway. The Greenway preserve includes 1.5 miles of trails, accessible to the public and employees, residents, and visitors at the Hospice House, and connects to the state-wide 500-mile-long Palmetto Trail. The Greenway is home to over a dozen varieties of native ferns, the spotted salamander, and the rare and endangered dwarf flowered heartleaf. The Graham Family Tract, which has been owned by the family for generations, will be added to the Greenway. The property will provide expanded recreation and educational opportunities, conserve a vital and historic waterway, protect the diverse and beautiful wildlife habitat in a rapidly developing area of Spartanburg County, and ensure that Spartanburg's most utilized entryway remains natural, green, and beautiful.
