Property Description
This 4-acre property is in the core of the Revolutionary War Battle of Eutaw Springs and is part of the South Carolina Liberty Trail. Protecting this tract preserves the historical and cultural values of the property such as the three "witness trees" - trees that were young when the battle occurred and have now grown to be “massive, silent sentinels of history”. With this acquisition, the SC Battleground Preservation Trust will initiate the master planning process for a new battlefield park.
