Property Description
The 140-acre Sims Reach property was identified by the SC Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism (SCPRT) as a priority for the newly created Black River State Park and will be a future canoe and kayak launch location. The property consists of close to a mile of State Scenic Black River frontage, with the river portion containing mature bottomland cypress and hardwood forests and the potential for ample fishing and hiking. Across Sims Reach Road is higher ground, which currently is in planted pine.
