Wild Turkey Creek Tract

Property Description

The Wild Turkey Creek Tract is managed for wildlife, agriculture, and timber near the town of Barnwell. A diversity of habitats and forest age classes occur here, including rivering hardwoods, mixed pine-hardwood, pine stands, agriculture food plots/fields and an intact Carolina Bay. Healthy populations of all major game species in South Carolina occur here. Early Native South Carolina Indians used this area as a travel corridor and used the abundant natural resources in the area to sustain a living. The area is near Revolutionary and Civil War sites and may have been used by those forces.
