Property Description

Stone's Throw helps bridge the gap between Tall Pines and the South Saluda River. Ten property owners own more than 2,300 acres that connect this property to greater than 3,000-acre complex of protected land associated with Tall Pines. Two phases of conservation outreach will accomplish distinct goals: first, to significantly expand and buffer Tall Pines connecting to Stone's Throw Farm and its watershed; and second, to protect the significant riparian areas along the South Saluda River. With conservation easements in place, the objective is to improve water quality over time by incorporating agricultural best management practices as prescribed in the easement language.
