Rosemont Plantation ExpansionThe Rosemont Plantation Expansion adds 123.82 acres to the Rosemont Plantation site that contains the original plantation house. Rosemont Plantation was the ancestral home of Ann Pamela Cunningham, the founder of the Mount Vernon Ladies Association and the singular person responsible for saving and restoring Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington. The plantation house at Rosemont was built in 1787 and burned in 1930.
