Millgrove Plantation is a +/- 440-acre property in Georgetown County located within the Winyah Bay Focus Area. This property is directly adjacent to the Black River, one of South Carolina's ten designated scenic rivers. The property has approximately 1,600 feet of direct Black River frontage creating scenic views for the public and clean water for downstream users. Millgrove Plantation is bisected by three roads, Rose Hill, Dunbar, and Benton Williams Roads, containing 13,600 feet of forested frontage. The tract is adjacent to Rocky Point Community Forest that is a publicly accessible park owned by the Winyah Rivers Alliance. The property is also just upstream from Ducks Unlimited 348 acre Winea Plantation. 

The property contains a diversity of habitat including 84 acres of forested and 24 acres of emergent wetlands. The upland areas primarily consist of planted loblolly pine and fields managed for the benefit of wildlife. The protection of Millgrove Plantation will secure the property from development as the demands for rural retreats and riverfront getaway destinations expand. Its protection would further increase the number of protected lands along the scenic Black River, supporting efforts by the conservation community to maintain its iconic beauty and conservation value.
