Meyer LakeThe 974 acre Meyer Lake tract is located in Jasper County and contains the southernmost unprotected Savannah River floodplain bottomland hardwood forest in South Carolina. The tract has approximately 3.5 miles of Savannah River frontage and directly abuts a significant complex of permanently conserved lands totaling 54,331 acres, including the 31,551 acre Savannah National Wildlife Refuge and a 22,780 acre unbroken corridor of multiple privately and publicly preserved lands extending from the privately protected ~5,031 acre Exley Tract to the publicly accessible South Carolina Department of Natural Resources' (SCDNR) Tillman Sand Ridge Heritage Preserve which is located just under 20 river miles upstream.
