The 41 acres purchased with funds from the Conservation Bank were the first phase of a much needed greenway connecting I-85 and downtown Spartanburg. The greenway is an integral part of the Palmetto Trail and provides passive recreation opportunities to the residents of Spartanburg County. The Chinquapin Creek was part of Spartanburg County's first drinking water supply. Spartanburg Regional Healthcare systems provides $10,000 annually to the maintenance of the trail as it integrates beautifully with the Hospice House and Miliken Research Park.
A map for the Chinquepin Greenway has been provided in Google Map format.
