Floyd Tract

Property Description

This tract of land near Sandhills State Forest represents a key Floydacquisition from a public access standpoint. The Floyd Tract is next to McBee Wildlife Management Area (WMA) and unites three parcels together. The McBee WMA is managed for traditional outdoor recreation opportunities for the public. This area is also significant for longleaf restoration potential and for providing a buffer for Mill Creek, a key tributary to Lynches River. With proper management this area can be a protected habitat for the endangered red cockaded woodpecker.
