Boyd, Steve Tract

Property Description

The Steve Boyd Tract is a property in Chester County consisting of 1,000 Boyd Farmacres of prime soil farm land under production in the unique and rare South Carolina Blackjacks. These soil series have high moisture holding capacity due to very slow permeability, and the ability to continue producing during short term droughts. This farm has been in agricultural production by the family for over 120 years. This property is a portion of a larger farm which has been farmed continuously by family members since 1882, and was placed in a conservation easement with Katawba Valley Land Trust.
