Property Description

This tract of land is a part of a continuing effort to preserve land along the Ashley River Historic District outside of Charleston. The Ashley River Historic District is a 13-mile corridor bound by the Ashley River and Ashley River Road. Along this stretch of land are remnants of civil war battles, post civil war African American settlements and Native American habitation. This land is under intense pressure from development. The Conservation Bank's funds were essential to the preservation of this property.
