Kyle Daniel Tract

Property Description

Mr. Daniel's river front property along the Great Pee Dee RiverKJyle Daniel is commonly known as the Griswold Tract. It was once owned by Ed Griswold who ran a store where steamboats brought in goods from the north in exchange for turpentine and pine lumber. In the early 1900’s the land was purchased by Mr. Daniel's grandfather, who was the mail carrier for the small rural community. At the time of acquisition by the Conservation Bank, the developmental pressures on this land were tremendous, as water front property in Georgetown County was highly desirable. Mr. Daniel wished to place an easement on the property to ensure future generations would be able to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.
