Between St. Helena and Hunting Islands, lies the tract of land known as Johnson Creek Camp. This land is actually made up of 8 separate islands, all with deep water access. These islands were in grave danger of development as property along the coast of South Carolina is in extremely high demand. The Conservation Bank was able to assist The Trust for Public in the acquisition of these special places. Johnson's Creek Camp will be turned over to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources to be managed in conjunction with Hunting Island State Park. These magnificent pieces of property will be preserved as a natural resource and for educational purposes..
