Property Description

Indigo Farms consists of 6 separate parcels for a total of 102 acres. The property contains forested and cleared areas with scattered wetlands areas of less than one acre. There are 2400 feet of frontage along Highway 174 and 175 feet of frontage along Russell Creek. Highway 174 is a South Carolina Scenic Highway that had been recommended for designation as a National Scenic By-Way. This scenic, rural waterfront farm is in one of the few remaining agricultural preservation areas designated for protection by the Charleston County Comprehensive Plan. It is in the only portion of Charleston County within the ACE Basin. It adjoins several other conserved properties in the northern part of Edisto Island.
