Property Description

The Bowers Tract represents a key tract of land for the Savannah River Preserve program. The Savannah River Preserve represents a group of voluntary landowners who wish to place easements on their land for the low cost of $250 an acre. In this case the landowner placed the easement for the cost of $176 an acre. The Bowers tract is within the Savannah River watershed and contains over 135 acres of wetlands. The Conservation Bank contributed a mere 16% of the total value of the conservation easement.
