Legacy Farms

Property Description

The Legacy Farms TractLegacy Farms is a beautiful piece of undeveloped property located near the town of Luray in Hampton County. Located within the South Lowcountry (SoLo) focus area, this property is a classic example of a very well managed working timberland and recreational tract containing healthy stands of young longleaf pine plantation, mature loblolly pine quail woods, areas of variously aged planted loblolly pine, mixed upland hardwoods, bottomland hardwoods, and a large active agricultural field. The property contains frontage on both Black Creek and an unnamed tributary associated with Black Creek, both of which are part of the wetland system that make up the headwaters of the Coosawhatchie River, which flows into the Port Royal Sound, an extremely sensitive coastal embayment with unique ecological characteristics associated with highly productive estuarine habitat and recognized as one of the most pristine estuaries on the east coast.
