Historic Crawford Mill Property

Property Description
Crawford Mill

The Historic Crawford Mill property protects and enhances historical aspects such as petroglyphs, a former grist mill site, and the fact that this farm has been in the same family for over 200 years. The property contains 4 waterfalls, an open field, and wooded areas all with great views. Public access will be allowed for recreation and education of the community park. This includes hiking trails and education of grist mills, petroglyphs, and the project's history through the use of a visitor's center. The petroglyphs were documents by the South Carolina Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology in a book, Discovering South Carolina's Rock Art, by Tommy Charles. They were uncovered, documented, and recovered for protection.
