Property Description

The Burgess Farms Tract contains contains a mixture of bottomland hardwoods along Boggy Swamp and a mixture of planted pine flatwood. The forest structure and access to water provides optimal shelter and forage habitat for white-tailed deer. The property borders Boggy Swamp which empties into the Scenic Black River four miles downstream. The property is enrolled in the Safe Harbor Program and a majority of the tract's soils are prime farmland.
