Bramlett Bottoms

Property Description

Bramlett BottomsThe Bramlett Bottoms property has historically been farmed in row crop plasticulture and during rain events dumps loads of harmful sediment, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides into the North Saluda River. Recent temperature data gathered by SCDNR fisheries biologists have revealed that bottom releases from the Poinsett Reservoir are cold enough to be able to sustain a breeding population of trout in this section of the river. The goal with this property is to move to a more sustainable farming practice, improve the riparian habitat along the river and work with SCDNR to implement instream restoration structures to create a catch-and-release fishery in this area of northern Greenville County.
