Property Description

The 738-acre acquisition includes 4.5 river miles of forested frontage on the SC Black Scenic River. This tract is part of a growing network of protected natural areas along the Black River and a key acquisition for a new State Park in South Carolina unline any other in SCPRT's system. Manages for public access, this project will offer access to the river itself as well as education, interpretation, and passive recreation opportunities on the lands along the river including fishing, boating, hiking, biking, camping, birding, nature exploration and education.
