Black River State Park - Phase II

Property Description
Black River Phase II

The Black River, stretching 150 miles exclusively within SC, is one of the most beautiful and under-utilized rivers in the state with the potential to offer residents and visitors a wilderness-quality experience along a coastal-plain river. The 816-acre tract is a part of a growing network of protected natural areas along the Black River and a key acquisition for a new State Park in SC. The largely forested context of this coastal-plain river system makes it a unique and superior resource for SC contributing to wildlife habitat, water quality, flood mitigation, scenic, and recreational values of this treasured resource. This area is also known for its rich historical resources and numerous historical sites.
