Ingleside is a magnificent parcel of relatively undeveloped property in Hampton County. The property is currently used for hunting, timber, and agricultural activities. It is prominently visible by the public from Columbia Highway having approximately 6,700 feet of scenic road frontage and Augusta Stage Coach Road having approximately 4,600 feet of scenic road frontage. Ingleside lies within the more than 2 million acres of the South Lowcountry (SoLo) Focus Area and contains a diversity of relatively natural habitats including open spaces, variously aged planted pine stands, and forested wetlands. Ingleside is transected by Hog Branch that flows through the Black Swamp and on into the Savannah River. This entire ecosystem lies within the Lower Savannah Watershed. Protection of the Ingleside presents an opportunity to contribute to the protection of the downstream water quality for the benefit of the public. This property is also located in close proximity to other protected lands.
