Harris Pillow Property is a Revolutionary War battlefield during The Battle of Port Royal Islands. This battle has long held the interest of residents, visitors to Beaufort County, and Revolutionary War historians and archeologists. Plans are to include this battlefield as part of the Spanish Moss Trail. This recreational trail established in northern Beaufort County is an eleven-mile long recreational trail connecting the City of Beaufort and the Town of Port Royal. This scenic trail offers biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, walking tours, and maritime and wildlife exploration through magnificent Lowcountry water and marsh views and historic sites of interest.
